Jaymee's favourite destinations:

For unique scenery and landscapes, Sossusvlei and Spitzkoppe in Damaraland. For epic widlife, Etosha National Park.

Favourite lodges:

King Nehale Lodge and Sossus Dune Lodge for it's location.

Favourite itinerary:

The 16 Day Namibia, Chobe and Victoria Falls Safari as it combines three countries in one and can be done on a self-drive basis or private guided basis by road all the way.

Best memory on safari:

Seeing an elephant and lion up close for the first time in my life. It is truly magical to be that close to wildlife.

Travel tip:

Capture the memories but don't forget to be present.

Best kept travel secret:

Time flies when you're having fun, so make sure you take a moment just to take it all in and savour how special it is.

Favourite travel quote:

Her story...

Jaymee is a born and bred Capetonian. Since birth, the mother city of Cape Town in South Africa has been her base, until she met her Namibian husband and a few years later, Namibia became home. Now based in Swakopmund, with an impressive work history in tourism and hospitality, along with her bubbly personality, she makes a great fit for NTS.

Jaymee has been lucky to have travelled to the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Costa Rica, US and Mexico. That’s quite a list, we know, which is why when she says her favourite place to travel is Namibia, you get how amazing it really is and the extent of just how much she loves it.

Take her camping and Jaymee is in her element. Something about being out in the open and sitting around the campfire sharing stories.

“It’s one of the best ways to explore an incredibly remote and untouched country, but a night or two of luxury is worth the splurge when it offers both five stars for service and views.”

If Jaymee isn’t planning amazing holidays or out exploring the open road herself, you’ll likely find her lost in a good book, watching a classic movie or taking her dogs for a walk in the dunes. Family orientated, spending time with her loved ones is essential and if she can do it in the bush, sleeping out beneath the stars and cooking together over an open fire, then that’s first prize.

If you ask Jaymee, she’ll tell you there’s simply no place like Namibia.

“Planning an itinerary for someone to experience it in a way that best suits them is my favourite part of what I do. Well, that and hearing all about it when they get back home, knowing they can’t wait to return.”
