Kady's favourite destinations:

The never-ending desert landscape of the NamibRand Reserve and the abundance of wildlife in Etosha National Park. It's hard to believe that both these incredible places exsist in one country.

Favourite lodges:

I like a lodge that offers luxury and an equally amazing experience. My favourites have to be Omaanda Lodge and Otjiwa Mountain Lodge where the food and attention to detail are on another level. Another favourite is Kwessi Dunes Lodge for the amazing sunset & quad bike activity to explore the dunes.

Favourite itinerary:

Our 16-Day Namibia, Chobe & Victoria Falls Safari. This one covers it all with an emphasis on the changing scenery starting with the desert of Namibia, to the abundance of wildlife in Chobe and to the lush rainforest and waterfall to end in Victoria Falls.

Best memory on safari:

Watching a herd of elephant running to drink at Horseshoe in eastern Caprivi, while enjoying a sundowner with no one else around. Our guide made popcorn. It was a surreal movie-like moment.

Travel tip:

Rising early is worth it to avoid the crowds and get the best light for photographs.

Best kept travel secret:

Take photos wherever you go. It's about creating memories, but also find time to just be still and take it all in, living in the moment so that when you look back at the photos you remember the feelings you felt.

Her story...

Although born and raised on the coast of Namibia, in Swakopmund, Kady has explored and lived abroad to gain experience and travel since she completed school. It all started as a way to broaden her horizons but now, being back in Namibia, she’ll happily tell you it did more than that. It made her realise just how special home is and how much she wants to share it with the world.

She was a part of the team as a travel expert in 2017 but left to explore more of the world and to sell Namibia in Australia, where she also completed her Business Diploma in Brisbane. She returned to Namibia and, after working as an office manager in hospitality and later in reservations for a car rental company, has returned to NTS - and mighty glad we are she found her way back home and back to us again, with all her experience in hand.

If Kady has half the chance, she’s out exploring and travelling. Wherever and whenever with whoever, although that’s most likely with her husband Edward and some of her closest friends. A sundowner overlooking the desert of the Namib Rand Reserve is easily one of her favourites. Something to do with the ever-changing hues and colour palette as the day draws to a close and in the distance, nothing but wide open spaces as far as the eye can see. This just about sums up any and every sunset in Namibia, but we get her sentiment, there’s something special about the desert.

Kady loves an adventure and being outdoors, especially if it means heading off the beaten track. It’s something she feels should be included in every holiday itinerary as a bucket list must-do.

It’s easy to see why she loves what she does. It’s a part of who she is. Travel and travel to Namibia is what Kady’s all about, especially if it includes conservation and sustainability.
