Our In-Country Support

‍From arrival to farewell - you’re never on your own

Travel in Namibia is about space, freedom and discovery - but behind the scenes, it’s also about knowing there’s a team quietly keeping an eye on things. From the moment you land, our in-country support ensures your journey runs smoothly, comfortably and with real people on the ground should you need them.

A warm welcome on arrival

When you arrive in Windhoek, you’ll be met at the airport by one of our friendly drivers and transferred either to your hotel or to our Windhoek base and vehicle depot.

If you’re collecting a rental vehicle, this is where your journey really begins. You’ll receive your car, go through the route and logistics of your trip, and meet with a dedicated meet-and-greet consultant who will walk you through everything you need to know - from driving tips and road conditions to day-by-day expectations. It’s unhurried, personal, and designed to set you off feeling confident and excited.

For guests on guided safaris, your guide will meet you in Windhoek on the first day. You’ll have time to get to know each other over dinner, talk through the journey ahead, and ease into the adventure together.

Thoughtfully paced journeys

Most itineraries begin in a clockwise direction, allowing the landscape to unfold naturally. From Windhoek, travellers typically head south into the Kalahari and the Fish River region, or west to Sossusvlei, before continuing north via the coast to Damaraland and Etosha National Park, often passing through Swakopmund along the way.

This flow isn’t accidental - it’s designed to balance long drives, changing scenery and rest points, giving you time to settle into Namibia’s rhythm.

A chance to touch base in Swakopmund

Swakopmund is more than just a coastal stop - it’s also where our headquarters are based. For many travellers, this becomes a natural pause point after a few days on the road.

Here, you’re welcome to meet the consultant you’ve been working with, pop into our offices, or simply enjoy the reassurance of reconnecting face-to-face. It’s a lovely moment to touch base, ask questions, share early highlights and reset before heading back into more remote areas.

Quiet support, always available

While we hope your trip is all about discovery and enjoyment, it’s reassuring to know that full in-country support is always in place.

  • A 24/7 emergency contact number connects you directly to our team
  • All rental vehicles are fitted with tracking systems, allowing us to assist quickly and accurately should you need help
  • In the event of a serious medical emergency, we work with EMed Rescue 24, providing rapid response and access to both air and ground ambulance services
  • For journeys that cross borders, we have trusted representatives on call 24/7 in neighbouring countries as well

This support operates quietly in the background - most guests never need it - but it’s always there, ready and responsive.

Travel with confidence

What sets a well-planned journey apart isn’t just the places you visit, but the people behind it. From your first welcome in Windhoek to ongoing support across Namibia (and beyond), our role is to make sure you feel looked after, informed and free to enjoy the experience fully.

You focus on the adventure.
We’ll take care of the rest.
