Anke Sprangers

Anke was born in Worcester in South Africa, but has lived in Swakopmund since the age of four. Now with her own family: her fiancé and her two adorable daughters, she’s delighted to call this her permanent address and have her children grow up in the same place she did.

She studied in Stellenbosch and Cape town and worked in Johannesburg before returning home to Namibia. She’s our super organised, very efficient, let’s-get-it done accounts assistant. She loves what she does and she’s an integral part of making sure the rest of us get to do what we love, which is selling holidays to our special part of southern Africa.

It’s fitting that she too loves to travel, but if she’s not off exploring some distant land or out and about with her family, Anke would be happy to sit all day with a bunch of paperwork, files and a label maker. This is her bliss and we couldn't be happier about it. She has a go-getter positive attitude about any and every task especially those administrative which, if we’re honest, we don’t understand.  

Anke’s claim to fame is having won a typing speed competition, she’s a self-proclaimed wine connoisseur, a hopeless romantic, loving mother and her favourite holiday is Christmas. Visit Swakopmund over the festive season and you’ll know exactly where she lives, it’s the house that can just about be seen from space. Anke, Swakopmund is already on the map, but we do love the enthusiasm.
