That’s why we’ve joined TOSCO (Tourism Supporting Conservation) – a Namibian non-profit dedicated to ensuring that travel directly benefits the people, wildlife and landscapes that make Namibia so unique.
TOSCO (Tourism Supporting Conservation) was founded in 2012 by a group of Namibian tour guides who recognised that tourism needed to give back to the environment it depends on. What started as a grassroots movement has grown into a respected non-profit organisation connecting tour operators, travellers, researchers and communities across Namibia. The idea was simple but powerful: tourism can and should support conservation.
TOSCO runs and supports a variety of initiatives across Namibia, including:
As a Namibian-owned company, our business depends on the health of Namibia’s ecosystems, wildlife and communities. Joining TOSCO is a natural extension of what we already believe: that travel should give back. Through TOSCO, a portion of every safari with us helps protect Namibia’s natural heritage for generations to come.
Travellers can make an impact too. By choosing to travel with members of TOSCO, like Namibia Tours & Safaris, you are automatically contributing to conservation. If you’d like to do more, you can:
Your safari is not just a holiday – it’s a chance to be part of something bigger. With TOSCO, we can make sure that the journeys we plan together protect the wild places, people and animals that make Namibia such an extraordinary destination.
