“The most amazing trip… we had no problems along the way and would recommend you without hesitation.”
This 11-day self-drive safari took a couple from Windhoek into the heart of the Namib Desert before continuing north through Damaraland and on to Etosha, travelling independently in one of our Fortuners. Highlights included the wide-open desert scenery at Namib Outpost, striking landscapes and wildlife around Mowani, and relaxed game viewing at Onguma Bush Camp. Warm welcomes throughout and a smooth, well-paced route made for an easy, enjoyable journey — a varied and beautifully balanced introduction to Namibia.
“The pace, mix of activities and locations were perfect.”
This well-paced 16-day self-drive safari took two couples through Namibia’s most iconic landscapes, travelling from Windhoek into the NamibRand, on to Sossusvlei, the coast and north through the rugged scenery of Damaraland.
Highlights included two memorable nights at Wolwedans, where the scale of the desert and shifting light left a lasting impression - made even more special by the outstanding hosting and guiding, with particular mention of Ronaldo. Time at Etendeka Mountain Camp stood out for its wide-open views and wildlife, while slower days in Swakopmund offered a welcome change of pace.
Careful pacing allowed time to settle into each area, with warm welcomes throughout - a relaxed, thoughtfully planned self-drive that balanced independence with depth and insight.
“Thank you once again for everything - we’ll definitely be back.”
This 16-day self-drive safari took a couple on a wide-ranging journey through Namibia, travelling by Fortuner from Windhoek south to the Fish River Canyon, before looping north through the Namib Desert, Damaraland and on to Etosha.
The southern section offered dramatic scenery and a sense of adventure, including a memorable (and good-humoured) detour near the Fish River that became part of the story rather than a setback. From there, the route shifted into classic desert landscapes, followed by a coastal pause in Swakopmund before continuing north.
Highlights included the striking scenery and wildlife of Mowani Mountain Camp, excellent game viewing in Etosha, and the contrast between Etosha Oberland and Onguma Tented Camp. Ending at Otjiwa Mountain Lodge provided a relaxed final stop before returning to Windhoek.
Carefully paced to avoid rushed driving days, this self-drive balanced variety with comfort and independence - a trip shaped by Namibia’s landscapes and the freedom of the open road.
“We had a wonderful trip and absolutely loved Namibia - what a magnificent country.”

Highlights included desert scenery around Le Mirage, elephant encounters in Damaraland with an exceptional local guide, and standout stays at Etosha Oberland Lodge and Onguma Bush Camp, which were praised for both setting and service. Smooth logistics, warm welcomes and seamless vehicle arrangements contributed to a trip that ran reliably from start to finish.
A memorable journey that introduced the family to Namibia’s diversity - from desert to wildlife-rich reserves - and left them with shared experiences they’ll long remember.

Exceptional guiding was a defining feature throughout, with Colandri praised for her energy, tracking skills and ability to shape each day around the traveller’s interests, supported by seamless coordination from local partners along the way.
Thoughtfully planned and expertly guided, this was a deeply immersive, wide-ranging safari - described by the traveller as an unforgettable lifetime experience.
