The buildings are contemporary in design using glass, wood and stone to blend in with the rugged surroundings, making sure that the canyon stays the centre of attention. Each chalet has uninterrupted views over the landscape through floor to ceiling windows, so you can enjoy the view right from your bed.
En-suite bathroom facilities include an outdoor shower. On warm evenings enjoy the night sky from an outdoor lounger or, on cooler nights, from inside through the skylight windows.
This is the place you come to if you want to relax and reconnect with nature. Marvel at the view or, for those who are a bit more energetic, walks into the canyon will open your eyes to the unique plant and animal life that have adapted to these harsh conditions. Scenic drives are offered by the lodge in the late afternoon so you can watch the sun set over the canyon.
Nature drives into Fish River Canyon; fat biking (self-guided or guided); full-day and half-day hikes; fully catered hikes from 1 or 2 days to a 5-day hike with the first and last night spent at the lodge and 3 nights in the canyon; scenic drives in the late afternoon to catch the sunset over the canyon
All hiking done between April - September.
