“Without exception, the trip was fantastic - an exceptional safari.”
This 9-day private fly-in safari took two travellers on a seamless journey across Namibia, travelling by charter aircraft with Wings Over Africa and staying at a carefully selected collection of remote lodges. Beginning in Windhoek, the route flew south to the iconic dunes of Sossusvlei, north to the dramatic landscapes of Damaraland, and on to the wildlife-rich Ongava Game Reserve.
Two camps stood out in particular: Little Kulala, which delivered everything the travellers had hoped for with its open plains, excellent food and access to the dunes, and Damaraland Camp, which became a firm favourite thanks to its mountain setting, intimate atmosphere and unforgettable dining experiences. Guiding at Damaraland was exceptional, with Brian, the lodge guide, described as the most knowledgeable guide the travellers had encountered in over a decade of safaris.
Wildlife viewing at Ongava Lodge was also a highlight, especially close encounters with rhino within the private reserve. The charter flights themselves became part of the experience, with an outstanding pilot-guide adding insight and flexibility, turning each transfer into a memorable aerial safari.
Smooth logistics, thoughtful meet-and-greet support and beautifully detailed itinerary notes ensured the journey unfolded exactly as expected - and more.
