“The pace, mix of activities and locations were perfect.”
This well-paced 16-day self-drive safari took two couples through Namibia’s most iconic landscapes, travelling from Windhoek into the NamibRand, on to Sossusvlei, the coast and north through the rugged scenery of Damaraland.
Highlights included two memorable nights at Wolwedans, where the scale of the desert and shifting light left a lasting impression - made even more special by the outstanding hosting and guiding, with particular mention of Ronaldo. Time at Etendeka Mountain Camp stood out for its wide-open views and wildlife, while slower days in Swakopmund offered a welcome change of pace.
Careful pacing allowed time to settle into each area, with warm welcomes throughout - a relaxed, thoughtfully planned self-drive that balanced independence with depth and insight.
