It's important to capture your travels, but always remember to leave time enough to simply enjoy it and live in the moment. Be open to all the cultures you'll encounter, their foods, their surroundings and their way of life.

Her story...

Ivanda is a Namibian through and through. She was born and raised in Swakopmund and still calls this coastal town home. It’s her favourite place in Namibia and that’s not because she hasn’t been anywhere else but as the saying goes “there’s no place like home”. And when home is where the dunes meet the sea and it’s the go-to holiday spot for in-landers, then it makes perfect sense.

Ivanda has a background in administration and bookkeeping, working at a popular activity centre and later at a reservations office before becoming part of our team at NTS.

As above, the coast really is her first pick for ‘Highlight of Namibia’, but having spent some time in a much hotter, much drier and much dustier north, Ivanda is happy to tag along anytime anyone is going that way. Mind you, she’ll tag along to just about anywhere in Namibia if she gets the chance and if you throw in some luxury and a massage treatment, she’ll invite herself. Make space for her luggage.

She loves playing sport, spending time in the garden, doing something creative or reading a good book (preferably true crime or an autobiography). If it’s around her family even better and with her nieces and nephews – the best. For Ivanda it’s about the simple pleasures in life whether at home or on holiday.

Of the tourism industry and planning a holiday, she most loves that no two trips are ever the same which makes every day in the office different and exciting. Ivanda says, “Planning someone’s safari to one of the most incredible places on earth is so rewarding.” We couldn’t agree more.
