Hidden deep within an expansive private concession in the Okavango Delta, Setari Camp sits on a palm-fringed island surrounded by permanent waterways. Elevated above the floodplains and linked by wooden walkways, the camp has a distinctive treehouse feel, offering an immersive, water-based Delta experience in a remote and wildlife-rich setting.
The main area is open and airy, with a thatched lounge, dining space and bar flowing onto expansive decks that look out across the surrounding channels. A separate fire deck and pool area provide inviting spots to unwind, all positioned to make the most of the sweeping Delta views.
Accommodation comprises 9 elevated tented suites, fanning out on raised platforms, with the family unit set apart on the other side, near the pool. Light and spacious, they feature ensuite bathrooms with outdoor showers and freestanding baths, along with private decks overlooking the floodplains.
Freshly prepared meals, an onsite gym and a curio shop allow for plenty of downtime in-between boat excursions from the private jetty or traditional mokoro trips.
Year-round boating and mokoro excursions offer a tranquil way to explore the surrounding lagoons and channels. Guided walking safaris including a bush brunch or picnic are available near the camp, with longer walks on the neighbouring islands a boat ride away. Community visits to Jao Village can be arranged, as can scenic helicopter flights. Birding is exceptional year-round.
