Duba Plains Camp

Duba Plains Camp

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Welcoming only 10 guests, you will receive the ultimate luxury treatment with all the bells and whistles. This means all-inclusive accommodation with meals, drinks, safari trips and even a pair of binoculars that you can use on the trip or from your private patio.

Duba prides itself in being “home away from home” and gives it a 1920’s safari expedition twist with its traditional colour scheme and décor. You will be staying in a Meru-style tent raised onto wooden decks, under fig trees with views across the entire floodplains.  Your tent comes with a desk, king-sized bed, an en-suite with a dressing area, mosquito nets and an outdoor shower if you want to live your best Tarzan life among the greenery.

Once you put down your bags, you can go kick up your feet at the pool while looking over the view with an ice-cold-kicking cocktail. Behind you, you will find the communal area with a dining hall, fireplace and the best meals by far.

You can take to the water for a boat trip or fishing, to the sky for a scenic flight in a helicopter or go for the quintessential, a game drive. You might see some unusual and rare animals on your game drive such as the spotted serval and pangolin.

Regardless of the time of the year, you will see amazing animals, you might even witness a migration. Duba is an exclusive and luxurious “camping” experience that will leave in awe, but it is important to remember the hefty (and non-refundable) price tag on this Eden experience, so when you are there, be sure to truly kick back and enjoy every moment.
