Your Zambian wildlife safari begins in the South Luangwa National Park with walking safaris, game drives and night drives. A wildlife extravaganza. Then from the South Luangwa you will fly to the Lower Zambezi National Park for a water-based safari with optional walking and driving safaris to boot. Your wildlife extravaganza continues.
Accommodation is in small, intimate luxury safari lodges with excellent guides, fantastic settings and amazing activities. You can reverse the order of your safari and choose your safari lodge accommodation in the Lower Zambezi Park and South Luangwa National Park.

Day 1, 2 & 3: South Luangwa National Park
( 3 nights )
You will be met at Lusaka airport and assisted with your check-in for your onward flight to Mfuwe Airport - your first true African experience. A small and charming airport unlike any you've ever experienced, Mfuwe must be one of the world's smallest – and most relaxed – international airports. Your guide will meet you at Mfuwe for the start of your Zambian adventure.
On the way: The transfer to your Luangwa safari lodge from Mfuwe Airport takes about 35 minutes through the villages of the Luangwa Game Management Area (GMA) with good chance of seeing wildlife so keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready. You're on safari from touch down.
When you're there: Daily activities include a dawn-patrol game drive through the South Luangwa National Park with excellent game viewing, birding and unspoilt wilderness; lunches by the river's edge are followed by afternoon tea and a second game drive that extends into the night returning by way of spotlight-illuminated nocturnal creatures. You can also opt for the fascinating walking safari to have a completely different experience of the African bush.
*Your stay is booked to include all scheduled camp activities on a fully inclusive basis.

Day 4, 5 & 6: Lower Zambezi National Park
( 3 nights )
From one great game reserve to another, it's time to transfer back through the Luangwa Valley GMA to Mfuwe Airport destination Zambezi River.
On the way: Game-drive transfer back to Mfuwe and fly via Lusaka to the Lower Zambezi. As you approach the Zambezi Valley you will see the massive river and its game-rich floodplains far into the distance.
When you're there: The Lower Zambezi National Park offers fabulous water safaris, birding, catch-and-release sport fishing, game drives, walking safaris and night drives. The wildlife experience is different from the South Luangwa with more attention on the water where hippos and crocodiles lurk, elephant come to drink and a passing parade of big game makes a daily appearance including lion, leopard, giraffe, buffalo, kudu, wildebeest and many more plains species.
Your safari in Zambia's Lower Zambezi National Park starts with an early morning activity, followed by lunch and a siesta overlooking the river and an afternoon game viewing activity with a sundowner that can extend into the dark on a night drive. Activities are flexible with your choice of water safaris, walking safaris or game drives – depending on where the action is and what you feel like doing.
*Your stay includes all scheduled camp activities with your lodge guide as booked on a fully inclusive basis.
