Situated along the Sohebele River, a tributary of the Nhlaralumi River, in the Timbavati Game Reserve, the two-suite River Sands Villa was created for those looking for absolute privacy.
Connected by an expansive lounge and dining area with fireplace, the two spacious suites come with ensuite bathrooms, a private deck, and an outdoor seating area. Thatched high ceilings and a neutral colour palette create a sense of being at one with nature.
Access from the lounge to an expansive patio allows for a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, with a custom-designed waterfall pool out front. The pool overlooks a busy watering hotel that attracts wildlife throughout the day – making animal sightings from the comfort of the villa a common occurrence.
Each day is designed around guests’ preferences. A typical morning might see you set off on an early game drive in a private vehicle to look for the Big Five – most notably leopard – as well as wild dog. On your return to the villa, you can enjoy brunch or lunch, followed a swim and spa treatment, before the afternoon drive with sundowners in the bush, and a relaxed dinner back at the villa.
A stay here allows for real quality time with loved ones, away from everyday life. Spend your day as you wish, with activities available for the whole group or time spent on your own. Apart from private game drives, enjoy spa treatments in the comfort of your room, bush sundowners, atmospheric campfire dining, and incredible stargazing.
