This intimate lodge is a great base for exploring the Klaserie. The reserve, part of the unfenced Greater Kruger ecosystem, is renowned for its extraordinary wildlife – from elephant and lion to the elusive leopard and rare Sharpe’s grysbok – and offers an authentic, uncrowded safari experience.

Sitting alongside a dry riverbed and within lush indigenous gardens dotted with rare South African cycads, the lodge finds the perfect balance between tradition and contemporary touches. A sociable and art-filled lounge, bar, and dining room lead outside to an expansive terrace to one side, and pool with views of the perennial watering hole to the other.
