Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Set in the private Thornybush Nature Reserve, bordering the Greater Kruger National Park, Saseka Tented Camp combines the atmosphere of a traditional tented safari with cutting-edge design and an immersive bush experience.

Enjoying traversing rights into the Greater Kruger ecosystem, the camp offers excellent opportunities to encounter the Big Five, as well as cheetah, wild dog, and abundant birdlife in an uncrowded safari setting.

Saseka features 8 luxury tented suites, fanning out to each side from the main area. Spacious interiors open onto private decks with plunge pools overlooking the Monwana dry riverbed, while ensuite bathrooms include indoor and outdoor showers and freestanding bathtubs.

While reminiscent in style of the Gold Rush of the 1800s, interiors cleverly combine the old with the new – from traditional rattan juxtaposed with steel frames to draped ceilings covered with botanical pressings of the Lowveld’s indigenous flora.

The open-plan main area comprises an elevated deck with tiered levels, and includes comfortable lounge and dining areas, a bar, and a wine cellar. Guests can cool off in the pool between game drives, and book spa treatments and yoga sessions. During your morning drive, you might stop for a special bush breakfast in one of the many scenic settings within the reserve, while dinner can be enjoyed on the deck, around the atmospheric firepit in the dry riverbed, or even in the privacy of your suite.

Families and small groups looking for complete privacy can also book Little Saseka, an exclusive-use safari space for up to 6 within Saseka Tented Camp.
