Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge
Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Designed to resemble a golden weaver’s nest, the architecture here is as amazing as is the 22,500 hectares of incredible landscape. Here you will discover a diverse wetland and the green desert of the Kalahari in all its glory.

Beneath a canopy of wild palms and fig trees, the lodges fits in well with the surroundings. It’s harmonious and peaceful. As you approach the lodge it reveals itself as a giant pangolin at rest. Enter and your view is out over the Okavango Delta, from the dining area, deck, the upstairs bar and lounge and of course from your suite too. The décor is all sculpted, all natural and throughout infuses a sense of calm. It has an organic nature and celebrates sustainability. The solar power plant is worthy of a tour. It’s the very first of its kind in the Okavango Delta supplying 70% of the lodge’s energy requirements.

Each suite is romantic and private, cocooned on its own. You have your own plunge pool and a cosy fireplace. You’ll happily relax in your abode when you aren’t out on a land based safari, which in this game rich area is equally as impressive as your spacious suite and the view.

The safari vehicles have been customised for the best safari experience with bucket seats, changeable seat configurations, padded roll bars, battery charging points, camera bean bags and a canvas covered roof. Go on a safari in style. You’re guaranteed great sightings. Make use of the provided Swarowski Optik binoculars during your stay.

Guided safari walks immerse you in the wilderness and get you up close with nature. Take a helicopter flight over the winding waterways of the Okavango Delta. Join the chef in the kitchen to make a delicious meal. This one is popular with the kids. They’re welcome from all ages and will enjoy the Wildchild Programme on offer.

There’s something special about this lodge and that’s on top of the impeccable service and abundant safari experience. It’s in the unusual design, finer details and the authentic atmosphere. The sunrises and sunsets certainly play a part too.
