Day-to-day Itinerary

Day 1 & 2: Victoria Falls (Zim)
( 2 nights )

You will be met at Victoria Falls Airport on your arrival and transferred to your lodge/ hotel where you will stay for the next two nights. Welcome to Victoria Falls. Welcome to Zimbabwe.

When you're there: Of course the most obvious thing you will do while here is to go see the falls. We recommend in the early morning or late afternoon. At these times there are less people in the rain forest and the lighting is great for photographs. Two nights gives you one full day to explore and enjoy activities, of which there are many. Go white water rafting or bunji jumping if you are an adrenaline seeker. If you prefer to take it easy and simply enjoy the area, go on a Zambezi boat cruise, explore the buzz and markets of Victoria Falls town or enjoy a game drive in the surrounding reserves.

Ask at reception to assist in booking activities, any necessary transfers and recommendations on where to go for dinner. Try the Boma Restaurant for local flair and authentic cuisine or go on a dinner boat cruise which is a special experience not to be missed. You're here for two nights, do both.

Standard Accommodation
Batonka Guest Lodge

Day 3 & 4: Hwange National Park
( 2 nights )

Your next few nights are spent in Hwange National Park. This is Zimbabwe's most popular game park and with good reason. You will spend a total of 4 nights here in two different camps. Today you are on your way to Hwange Bush Camp.

If time allows you can still enjoy a last activity this morning. You will be advised of your transfer time, which depends on the time your flight is arranged.

On the way: Transfer by road to the Victoria Falls Airport. Meet with your pilot and you will take to the skies heading to the Robins Airstrip. From here you will be collected by your lodge guide and taken to Hwange Bush Camp. It's a 30 minute transfer, which is really more of a game drive. So the game viewing begins...

When you're there: Enjoy two nights in the wilderness. Your stay is fully inclusive and includes your scheduled camp activities. You'll be enjoying day and night drives as well as walking safaris and, of course, incredible sundowners.

There's loads of big game out here. Elephant and buffalo in huge numbers. Look out too for big cats and wild dog, there's plenty plains game on which they prey.

A walk to the natural springs in the area is a special highlight. We could tell you all about it, but we'll leave it for you to discover.

Day 5 & 6: Hwange National Park
( 2 nights )

Today you make your way to another camp in a different area of Hwange. Some more great wildlife sightings await you.

Depending on the time of your light aircraft transfer between camps, you will likely still have time for a morning game drive. Enjoy breakfast and then you're off and your adventure continues.

On the way: Transfer back to the Robins Airstrip. Board the aircraft and you will fly to Manga Airstrip. From Manga Airstrip to the lodge is another 30 minute game drive transfer.

When you're there: Enjoy more spectacular game viewing. Your stay includes your activities with a lodge guide: guided walks, game drives - both day and night. Be on the lookout for elephant, kudu, sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, rare and endangered species of antelope, giraffe, lion, leopard, hyena and more.

Day 7: Victoria Falls
( Departure / End of Tour )

After breakfast and a last morning activity (if time allows), you're heading back to Victoria Falls where your safari comes to an end.

On the way: You will transfer back to Manga Airstrip and then take your charter flight back to Victoria Falls Airport. If you are catching an onward international flight, you'll arrive back at the airport in time to check in or, if need be, you could always spend a last night in Victoria Falls before departing the next day.

Alternatively, you've come all this way, why not add more amazing attractions to your holiday. By short transfers or internal flights you could easily include:

Okavango Delta : one of the world's last true deltas and real African safari experiences
Chobe National Park : cruise the Chobe River and explore the largest concentrations of elephant in the world

And that's just a start. There are more options and many incredible places to see that you could include as an add-on to this trip.

You can tailor this tour. Make changes or additions. We'll happily make recommendations so that you can make the most of your African adventure. Talk to your Travel Expert today to custom-make your trip further. The Zimbabwe wilderness and beyond awaits...
