Day-to-day Itinerary

Day 1 & 2: Victoria Falls (Zim)
( 2 nights )

You've arrived. Welcome to Zimbabwe. Here your holiday begins and what a way to start! You will be met at Victoria Falls Airport and be transferred to your lodge in Victoria Falls.

When you're there: Enjoy the wonder of the falls. That's the main attraction here, but certainly not the only one. There are loads of highlights and plenty of activities to do.

Ask at reception to assist in booking activities, any necessary transfers and recommendations on where to go for dinner if you are not dining at the lodge. We can recommend the Boma Restaurant for local atmosphere and cuisine or go on a boat cruise of the Zambezi River at sunset and enjoy dinner aboard. A special experience under the Zimbabwean skies.

* All scheduled camp activities are included at Old Drift Lodge which is booked on a fully inclusive basis.

Day 3, 4 & 5: Hwange National Park
( 3 nights )

Today you are heading to Hwange National Park. It's time to immerse yourself in the African bush and take in some incredible wildlife sightings. There's time enough to rest and relax and to enjoy activities. Splendid.

On the way: If time allows you can still enjoy a last morning activity in Victoria Falls or take the morning a little slower, wake up later, enjoy your breakfast at leisure. You will be advised of your transfer time by the lodge reception. Transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport and take to the skies. You are flying into Hwange and on arrival at your airstrip you will be transferred between 30 and 45 minutes to your lodge/camp. This is a game drive really.

When you're there: Check in and enjoy three nights at your lodge/camp. This gives you two full days to explore, go on game drives in open safari vehicles and guided bush walks. There's no shortage of sightings out here. Be on the lookout. There are elephant and buffalo in large numbers, plains game and antelope a plenty as well as lion, leopard and hyena among others.

Birding is spectacular. Grab your binos. Sit and watch. Don't forget your hat and sunscreen when heading off for your activities and take something warm along too, early mornings and late afternoons can get chilly.

*All scheduled camp activities are included in your stay. Discuss your activity schedule on arrival.

( 3 nights )

On the way: You may have time this morning for a last morning game drive and then you will transfer back to the airstrip and take your onward flight to Mana Pools. On landing you will be transferred roughly 30 - 45 minutes to your lodge/camp where you will spend the next three nights. You're on a game drive the minute you land, so enjoy. It's a change of scenery and it's spectacular.

When you're there: Game viewing, game viewing and more game viewing. In Mana Pools it's all about a walking safari and canoeing is popular too. You have enough time to enjoy both and then some. Go fishing, bird watching abounds and of course there are game drives to head deeper into the bush too. You'll spot hippo, eland, African wild dogs, water buck and there are lions and leopards as well as others.

*Scheduled camp activities are included in your stay. Discuss your activity schedule with your lodge guide.

On the way: You will transfer back to the airstrip and this will also be your last activity as your holiday winds down. Depending on your departure flight time from Harare, will determine the schedule for this last morning. If you are flying out today, you'll be at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in time to check in two hours prior. If necessary add a night in Harare to end.

Continue on your safari adventure by adding more of Zimbabwe's highlights or you could combine the best of Botswana, Zambia or Namibia to make your holiday a little longer and even better.
