Kaokoland Mobile Camping Expeditions

Navigate the dry riverbeds and vast rugged landscapes of Damaraland, search for the lone stonemen hiding in the most remote areas of Kaokoland, encounter the world’s last population of free roaming black rhino, desert adapted elephants, lions and other wildlife as well as cultural authentic Himba villages, Marienfluss, Van Zyl's Pass, Hartmanns Valley and even as far as Epupa Falls.

Similar to the boundless landscapes you'll explore, your itinerary is also boundless. Ideally we’d say in a smaller group and no less than 3 nights but anything is possible and take our word for it, once you’ve been out there and slept out under the endless dark night sky, you’ll easily wish to stay longer in some of Namibia wildest places.

What is a mobile camping safari? These are temporary camps that consist of walk-in tents with beds, duvets and pillows; the main camp features a campfire, dining table and chairs, with full crockery and cutlery, refrigerators, cold drinks, and freshly prepared meals. The camp is set up with hot showers and eco-friendly toilets.

While there are set routes and tours available, it’s best we custom your wild adventure. Select the way in which you’d like to do it, specify the number of nights and areas you wish to cover and we can put it together for you.

Fully Inclusive & Fully Assisted

Join a guide in his vehicle and he’ll do all the navigating, supply all the equipment and prepare your meals. Camp is set up by a backup team while you’re out exploring. Arrive at camp and it’s all there for you. It’s wild camping but with all the resources. You’ll have hot water, a comfortable bed, fire prepared dining and an eco-toilet.

Included: Private guide, vehicle and vehicle costs, 3 meals per day, all camping equipment, campsite fees (where applicable)

Excluded: All personal requirements, alcoholic drinks and accommodation other than camping

Assisted Tag-Along

Your guide will do it all, but instead of you driving along with your guide in his vehicle, you’ll simply tag-along for the adventure in your own vehicle behind. He’ll set up camp and prepare your meals so the only work you’ll be doing is the actual driving although we’d hardly call that work.

Included: Private guide, guide vehicle, guide vehicle costs, 3 meals per day and all camping equipment

Excluded: Own vehicle, alcoholic drinks and all personal requirements

Semi-assisted Tag-Along

You’ll follow your own private guide in your own vehicle and you’ll also set up camp yourself with your own provided equipment, but your guide will do the cooking and catering for you as you go along.

Included: Private guide, guide vehicle, vehicle costs and 3 meals per day

Excluded: Own vehicle with camping equipment, alcoholic drinks and all personal requirements

Tag-Along

Follow your own private guide in your own vehicle. He’ll lead the way and you’ll tag along. A chance to explore with a little off-road driving and adventure. You’ll need a camping-equipped vehicle as you’ll set up your own camp for each night and prepare your own meals. It’s as if you were going it alone, yet with the security of knowing you have your guide to show you the way and the best spots.

Excluded: Own vehicle with camping equipment, all meals/food, all drinks and all personal requirements
