The Weinberg Urban Pod

The Weinberg Urban Pod

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

You use a card to swipe your way into this thoroughly modern air conditioned pod made for two, evidence of the contemporary, upmarket nature of this accommodation.

The measuring devices have been out and concluded that there is precisely 325 square metres of space that’s all yours in the pod, which offers excellent views day and night. You’re sure to enjoy the twinkling lights of Windhoek City when the sun goes down.

That’s thanks to the pod’s location on Roman Hill in the Am Weinberg estate. Those views, like everything else, are in the all-inclusive price you’ll pay to secure use of this luxe villa that’s designed for couples or solo business travellers.

Guests are drawn to stay here not just because of the beauty of the place, but also its location which hits the sweet spot of being near enough to the city to make journeys there quick and easy, but far enough away to give you somewhere beautifully chilled to call home.

What’s inside?

There’s plenty that gives the pod the wow factor, its class immediately apparent from the moment you enter. The open plan living and dining area is likely to be the place in which you spend most of your waking hours. There’s an expansive sofa close to the fireplace for snug times relaxing and watching the flatscreen smart TV which gives you access to satellite channels.

Close by is the dining table that seats 8, plenty for a special occasion meal or work meeting. Food prep happens in the adjacent kitchen, where you’ll find an array of top of the range appliances. The pod also boasts a private bar from which you can pour a favourite tipple or two.

When the time comes to call it a day, there are two bathrooms each with tubs and showers, and an extra long kingsize bed in the bedroom to guide you into dreamland.

What makes the pod so irresistible to corporate guests is the presence of an office room which features a large, PowerPoint presentation-friendly screen, plus a desk and chair and printer. And everyone who stays here is sure to appreciate the washing machine and tumble dryer when there’s laundry to be done.

What’s outside?

There’s space for 2 cars in the garage at the front of the house, while the rear garden features a wooden deck terrace with plunge pool, loungers and mountain views. Many executive guests love the game of golf. If that’s you, the mini golf in the back yard will help you get in some invaluable putting practice. Even more reasons to spend time outside at the pod come in the form of the BBQ/braai area which has seating for 6.

Pure luxury

Staying in the pod gives you access to a personal attendant who’ll do all the planning and arranging you need them to, from activities, spa treatments, yoga classes and table reservations. You name it, they will sort it out for you.
