Day 2 & 3: Sossusvlei
(2 nights)
Today your fly-in safari begins as you transfer back to the airport to meet with your pilot for your private charter flight to your first destination, the endless sand dunes of the Namib Desert in Sossusvlei.
On the way: Briefing by your pilot and then hop on board your Cessna 210 aircraft for your flight south over the Namib Desert landscapes. From above you can truly grasp the vastness of Namibia.
When you’re there: Meet with your lodge guide at the airstrip and transfer to your accommodation on arrival where you will spend the next two nights. Your stay includes a sundowner drive and a Sossusvlei excursion. Enjoy the sundowner this afternoon if you wish and then tomorrow you are off to explore the wonder of the desert and giant towering sand dunes in Sossusvlei.
Our tip: Book additional activities to fill your days if you wish to do more or put your feet up soaking in the endless views if you’d rather take it easy. A hot air balloon safari is a superb recommendation for an optional extra add-on.

Day 4 & 5: Swakopmund
(2 nights)
Today you have a scenic flight over the desert to the Atlantic Ocean taking in shipwrecks and old diamond mines until you reach where they meet. It’s really quite spectacular and one of the main reasons for flying this first section of your trip.
On the way: There is much to see and take in as far as the eye can see. It’s incredible to see the dunes disappear into the sea. As the scenery and landscape changes so too does the temperature. Enjoy the cool respite on arrival in Swakopmund.
When you’re there: Bid your pilot farewell as you transfer into town for the next two nights on the coast. There are many activities to choose from to fill your days. From Sandwich Harbour tours and ocean boat cruises to quad bikes and sand boarding. There’s something for everyone and enough to keep you busy so plan accordingly. A stroll through town is an activity in itself and a fine way to spend a morning or afternoon enjoying the local atmosphere and vibe.
When you aren’t out and about enjoying activities, you can rest and relax and of course dining is splendid too.

When you’re there: You’ll have time enough to go on a nature drive in search of the desert-adapted elephants and to take in the sights of Twyfelfontein including the ancient rock engravings, Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes.
