A small and intimate camp of only five tents, you meet your guide on arrival and he remains your guide for the duration of your stay, which you’ll be longing to extend from the moment you check in. An uncomplicated camp where the focus is on the setting and the wildlife you’re about to encounter. It’s a true Okavango Delta and safari experience.
The tents look out onto the Okavango floodplains, sometimes entirely flooded depending on the season, but either way it's equally as breath-taking and a location you’ll happily drink in the rising or setting sun from. It’s peaceful yet so incredibly wild, but that’s what makes it so special. Glide across the waters in a traditional mokoro or head off on foot in the drier areas and you’ll see what we’re on about.
All the essentials are covered and you are guaranteed to be well taken care of, but without all the fluff and extras you really get the feeling of being on safari and one with nature.
A basic Meru style tent on a raised platform with an open-air bathroom and bucket shower gives a feeling of really being in the wilds yet with excellent food and service and even better game viewing right on your doorstep, it’s a safari win.
Your guide is from a local community, so you are truly expert-led here on your guided walking and traditional mokoro safaris.
This area is said to be one of the most magnificent permanent water sites in the Okavango Delta and the focus here is on water-based experiences. You get to explore the islands and the incredible abundance of wildlife and birdlife that abounds with your very own private guide (maximum two guests per guide).
Oddballs offers an amazing overnight camping experience if you wish to take your adventure even further. It’s a minimum of two nights out in the wilderness, where you set off with your guide and all your equipment on a mokoro to explore. Camp on different islands, out in the open and beneath the dark night skies. You’ll head off on walks and by night your dinner is cooked over the open fire. It’s spectacular.
Note: You would need one night in camp prior and one night in camp post.
