The resort is on the southern edge of Windhoek and well away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
Rooms are plush, well designed and well appointed. Each has a balcony, air conditioning, en suite bathroom with separate shower, direct-dial telephone, 24-hour room service, mini-bar, hair dryer, and satellite TV.
Dining is in the Gilles Bernard restaurant, Kokerboom. Cuisine is international with a local flavour: try the oryx carpacio, Walvis Bay oysters, cajun swordfish or grilled kingklip on a mango and coconut sauce.
The pool terrace serves light meals and refreshments all day; the coffee lounge has a large selection of blends; the jazz bar tends toward the refined and the casino beneath it throngs day in and day out to the gaudy tune of its slot machines.
Casino; gym; 18-hole golf course; putting green; bowling green; floodlit tennis; squash; cultural and historical city tours
The resort has an excellent 18-hole golf course, a practice green, squash courts, a gym, a bowling green and floodlit tennis courts - in case you find lazing by the pool a tad tiresome.
