Toshari Lodge
Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

A short drive south of Etosha National Park's Andersson Gate, the lodge is an excellent base for daily guided and self-guided forays into one of Africa's great parks. The 38 en suite bungalows are spacious, clean, comfortable and shaded by mopane and white seringa trees.

A cut above your 'usual' rustic safari lodge, Toshari Lodge offers a modern, yet simple and uncomplicated stay. The reception and main dining area, recently renovated, bring new life and a vibrant but relaxed atmosphere. The grounds are well tended and the central open-air courtyard is the focal point of the swimming pool, bar and restaurant - three ingredients you can really sink your teeth into. Simply laze at the pool, if you're not on safari in Etosha National Park that is.

Facilities

26 standard rooms; 4 family rooms; 5 luxury rooms and 3 honeymoon suites.
All en-suite air-conditioned bungalows; open showers; bath (honeymoon suites only); safe; coffee & tea facilities; fridge (luxury & honeymoon suites only); restaurant; open-air firelit dinners; bar; lounge; swimming pool; lunch baskets

3 individual campsites with private ablutions and solar powered hot water; shade awning; electric lights; power outlets; braai facilities; wood for purchase - campsite guests can use lodge facilities and dine at the restaurant.

Activities

Game drives on the private nature reserve and into Etosha; excellent birdwatching especially during the summer migrations (on request only).

If you want to walk off breakfast or prepare for dinner, there are a couple of walking trails in an area that is home to many birds including some near endemics.
