Etosha Safari Lodge

Etosha Safari Lodge

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

The Gondwana Collection, having established itself as an industry-leading eco-tourism operator in southern Namibia, brings its impeccable eco-values to the edge of Etosha.

With individual chalets spread along a low hill overlooking a vast expanse of African bush, Etosha Safari Lodge offers comfort, convenience and that ever-important feeling of being far from people and deep in the beautiful countryside.

The lodge is nine kilometers from the southern entrance to Etosha National Park - Namibia's premier safari destination - and you can easily drive your own vehicle into the park and enjoy exceptional game viewing at one of many natural waterholes on the edge of the Etosha Pan. You can also join the daily safari into the park in a custom-fitted safari vehicle where your guide offers amazing insight into the animals, birds, plants and history of the area.

When you are not in the park make use of any of the three swimming pools, enjoy a drink at the bar which overlooks this mopane savannah, or relax in your air conditioned chalet. The 65 double chalets, spaced well apart from each other, are fitted with a solar geysers (with electric back-up to ensure hot water at all times), en suite bathrooms, and large verandahs to embrace the never ending views.

Activities

Daily guided game drives into Etosha National Park for some of the best wildlife and birding opportunities in southern Africa. And the lodge is perfectly positioned for you to get to the Etosha gate easily and quickly - only nine kilometers away. Your guide will take you for game drives or if you are 'self-driving', you do your own game drives.

If this is your first visit to Etosha, we recommend you do your first game drive with the lodge guide and safari vehicle as this will give you an excellent introduction to Etosha, where to go, where to view wildlife and birdlife and the best time to go.

Go on a guided walk with an experienced guide. Hike for 2,5 - 3 km in the surrounding Mopane woodland. Enjoy refreshments in the bush. Learn about the flora and fauna. Maybe even a chance to spot the giraffe. This can be done in the morning or in the afternoon. Immerse yourself in nature.

Sustainability
