Tiger Reef has 23 campsites set around a large green lawn and in the background the crash of breaking waves onto the beach. No sea views from here but a short walk to the beach, lagoon and famous local sundowner spot the Tiger Reef Beach Bar.
Each A-frame shaded campsite has its own braai (cooking) facilities and space enough for at least two vehicles. Enjoy the communal lapa area for dining and sundowners or just to chill. All campsites have electricity so you won't be totally off the grid alas but, with shared ablutions, the adventure factor can get pretty high.
A few blocks from the centre of town and just a drag up the road from Swakopmund's multitude of restaurants and cafés, you won't need to cater here unless you really, really want to.
23 covered individual campsites; shared ablutions; showers with hot water; electricity; braai area for cooking; communal thatched lapa and security on site.
A short walk to most of the main highlights and attractions of Swakopmund.
Take a stroll on the beach or head out on an activity, of which there are many to choose from: dolphin cruises; fishing; kayaking; golfing; horse-riding; camel-riding; sand boarding; paragliding; sky diving; quad biking in the dunes; and living desert tours.
