The town centre is a five-minute walk along the beach via several excellent restaurants and a couple of highly enticing pubs.
The grounds, lawned and dotted with well-established palm trees, are immaculate and the chalets too are spotless with tiled floors throughout, fully-equipped kitchens and a range of sizes from one bedroom to three. The campsite features private ablutions and large grassy sites with electricity points.
Swakopmund is alive with action fast and slow: from museums, galleries and craft markets to skydiving, quad-biking and paragliding; from living desert tours to marine cruises; from deep-sea fishing to first-rate birdwatching there is something for everyone. And at the end of it all we have an overwhelming selection of restaurants and cafés in which to gather and recall the days activities.
