Tautona Lodge

Tautona Lodge

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

From standard hotel rooms to more luxury chalets and even the most basic Meru tents, Tautona Lodge has a room type to suit everyone. It isn’t fancy but it is welcoming and homely. It’s clean and comfortable. There’s loads of space, green lawns and friendly faces everywhere you look.

On a private reserve, there’s also plenty of wildlife: Eland, Oryx, Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Ostrich, Kudu and birds galore. Spot a waterbuck or wildebeest from your room. Head out on an easy self-drive game drive on the reserve or join a guided game drive in an open safari vehicle.

Learn of the San people that call the Kalahari home, explore the bushveld on horseback, relax and enjoy a massage and barbeque under the starry night skies. When your hosts say “make yourself at home” they mean it and it’s easy to do since the meals are hearty and the atmosphere warm.

Not just the ideal stopover, between Maun heading to Namibia or into South Africa, but one of the only 'more-than-decent' options of accommodation in the area. Easily accessible and suitable for the whole family.
