Riverdance Lodge

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

The Kavango River is a big, important river in southern Africa. Feeding the Okavango Delta in Botswana and sustaining life along its 1,600km floodplain, this gentle giant of a river is an African gallery of wildlife, birdlife, people and scenery.

In comes Riverdance Lodge, a new luxury safari lodge in northern Namibia right on the edge of this beautiful river, its lifeblood. The Kavango features in every aspect of life in this idyllic piece of nowhere: from the seasonal produce on your table to the exquisite sunset cruises and fun-filled fishing days, the Kavango River provides.

Karin and Tino own and run Riverdance lodge and their love for the river, its people and wildlife is evident in every carefully crafted view, the eco-sensitive activities, the complete luxury and the smiles their staff members’ wear with ease.

Accommodation is in large wood-and-glass structures built from local timber by local hands. Floor to ceiling glass sliding doors open on to a private deck at the water’s edge peeking through a dense riparian tree canopy. The en suite bathrooms offer private views of the river and trees and the furnishings and decor stop at nothing right up to and including your choice of pillow type.

Riverdance Lodge is at the western edge of the Caprivi, about 170km from Rundu and a short drive from Popa Falls and Mahango Game Reserve. Its location opens up the Caprivi as a genuine alternative safari destination to the pricey and oft-booked out Delta further to the southeast.
