Owners, Valerie and Wynand are as welcoming as the Irish, as enthusiastic as the Dutch and as resourceful as the Africans. Their 14 home-made chalets overlook the Kavango River just east of Rundu and they are comfortable, private and cool. The living area features a lively bar and campfire, a hearty restaurant, a swimming pool lined with loungers, and a large thatched gazebo that soaks up all the attention.

Just east of Rundu, n'Kwazi is a little too well situated for an overnight stop between the Caprivi and the rest of Namibia. Too well, because it deserves at least two nights' stay.

Sunset river cruises, bush walks, birdwatching, horse trails, traditional dancers, canoeing, fishing and visits to the local village

The sunset river cruise on the Kavango River is mandatory and horse trails, walks, birdwatching, visits to the owners' adopted village, and that irresistible pool will keep you well occupied. The lodge has a campsite whose visitors also flock to the campfire, pool and bar making for a steady stream of lively and entertaining encounters.
