You will find Hakusembe Lodge on your way to or from Caprivi and Victoria Falls a most welcoming stopover, especially after the long, dusty road – right on the bank of the Okavango River set among ancient acacia trees and manicured gardens.

Ten neat air-conditioned chalets, a family room and floating bungalow face the river rich with birdlife and all the basic amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.

Located just 16km west of Rundu, Hakusembe River Lodge is ideally placed to revive and refresh you while on-route to Caprivi, Vic Falls or Etosha National Park.

Relaxing is high on the order of activities here but for those of you looking for something to while away the hours; you can go on a tiger-fishing trip, canoe safari or a romantic champagne cruise down the river – what a great way to spend the day.

Fishing tour on the Okavango River for Tiger fish; bird viewing along the river; Cruise along river; Sunset Champagne Cruise to watch the sunset over the waters of the Okavango River; Picnic Safari across the border into Watu, Angola for lunch on this 2hr trip; Canoe Safari up the river with a picnic lunch en-route; Cultural Tour, visiting the Living Museum presenting ancient traditional culture known as the Ukumwe while local drummers and dancers perform for you during or after dinner.
