Here’s some Namibian newness for you. Ndhovi Enclave opened in the summer of 2026 on the banks of the Okavango River, with views of Buffalo Park and the rest of the Bwabwata National Park.
The time of year you visit will have a big impact on the landscape you see when you arrive. If you’re here between November and March, that’s the rainy season when the river spills over its banks, giving you the chance to enjoy riverside sunsets from your accommodation. Other times of year are the classified as the dry season which in short means less water.
Whichever time of year you plan to visit, you’ll have a choice of accommodation, ranging from luxury suites to large riverside campsites that you can book exclusively.
5x Tented Double Units
Park in a reserved space right next to your tented unit, and enter via a solid wooden door. The first thing that’s likely to strike you is the size of the large patio - the place to enjoy the best views. And if you’ve never pictured yourself taking a bath outside, it’s time to start imagining how that will feel, because it can happen here for real. Indoors, you’ll sleep in twin beds in a space with an air cooler, coffee and tea station, and an ensuite shower room with WC and wash basin. Each unit is semi-detached, sharing a solid, central, bricks and mortar wall with the guests next door. Of course, you can make sure that friends or family are your neighbours by booking both units. Either way, your views of the river will be uninterrupted, thanks to your accommodation being elevated on a deck.
Campsites
These are located on the banks of the Okavango with space for up to 10 people to pitch in each, with Camp Site 1 closer to the water than Site 2. Facilities here include a shaded central area that’s protected from the elements and the wildlife – an ideal place for your camp chairs and tables. Outside, shared firepits that are ideal for barbecues are available, plus warm water showers and electricity and water supply connections.

2 x River Suites
These accommodate 2 guests in a kingsize bed, and feature a lounge offering a relaxing sitting space, plus a work desk and chair. The ensuite has a shower and bathtub, while outside, a private wooden terrace lets you sit and take in views of Buffalo Park on the other side of the river in which you are likely to see hippos basking.
2 x Land Suites
Named Buffalo and Elephant, presumably after the most commonly spotted types of wildlife around here, these thatch and brick units sleep 2 to 4 guests and have a fully equipped kitchenette, plus private terrace and ensuite bathroom with shower.
The Lion Suite
This space for 6 is favoured by families and small groups of friends. The beds are kingsize, and the ensuite home to a walk-in shower, plus WC and wash basin. The suite has a small lounge with work desk, while outside, the veranda sports a floating day bed. If there’s a better spot to view the Okavango River and Buffalo Park in the most relaxing way, you’d do well to find it.
Expert rangers will take you on game drives into nearby parks. Of course, the wildlife you’ll see can never be guaranteed, but sightings of elephant, buffalo and big cats such as lion and leopard are on the cards. Cheetahs and antelope are known to roam the parks, and when water levels are high, sightings of Nile crocodile and hippo are likely too. In the skies, you can expect to see Pel’s fishing owl, fish eagle and wattled crane among other winged species.
