Grandma just called and said you're supposed to go home. Go. Straight to the mouse house. And what a granny mouse house it is. Green the countryside around her, grassy meadow, wooded hill. Granny is waiting with your slippers. Follow her down the stone stairs, beneath the building, and see her pride and joy. Now that’s what you call a wine cellar. Fitted with a complete dining experience and perfect when you’re thoroughly sick of African sunsets.
32 rooms in the gardens or overlooking the river.
There are deluxe suites, deluxe rooms and garden rooms.
All have king size beds which can be changed for twins. Modern ensuites, wood burning fire and flat screen TV. The deluxe suites face the river as do the deluxe rooms. The latter have patio decks. Some have balconies. The garden rooms also have patio decks and, wait for it, garden views.
There is also The Farmhouse which is a big, sleeper family home. It’s on Oakleigh Farm which is approx 900m from Granny Mouse’s entrance. It’s large, open and light. Self catering or you can ask for a chef. There are 5 bedrooms - two are en-suite.
