Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel

Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Ever stayed in a hotel with its own art gallery? There’s one here, along with a library, lounge and plenty of other amenities. More about those shortly, but first to the feature that consistently rates highly among guests – the location.

Cloud 9 is actually a collection of 5 attractive properties, some of which date back to the late 19th Century, all of which are connected to a central reception and beautiful courtyard.

The hotel is situated at the base of Table Mountain just over 20km from Cape Town International Airport. The first guests checked in back in 2016 and they found a beautiful place to stay that retains some of the best features from the original properties. Like the wooden flooring and marble fireplaces which are now joined by modern features to give 21st Century guests all the comforts and amenities they expect from a top hotel.

So much is walkable from here

Situated in the Gardens area of Cape Town, you’ll soon see why Cloud 9’s location is top-rated. You can walk to the hustle and bustle of Kloof Street and Long Street, or drive to the V&A Waterfront, the National Gallery, Camps Bay Beach or Clifton Beach in about 10 minutes. When you’re done exploring for the day, it won’t take long to get back to the hotel for a pampering in the spa, a sit down in the sauna or on the sun deck, or perhaps a splash in one of the two plunge pools before dinner.

The rooms

All  rooms at the hotel are air conditioned with Wi-fi. The more expensive have balconies and views of Table Mountain, others overlook the gardens. Wherever you stay, you’ll have a comfortable bed to rest and recharge in, and a rain shower in your ensuite bathroom. You might even get a room with a bath tub as well.

Coffee lovers will no doubt instantly spy the Nespresso in their room. While you make a cup, turn on the Ultra HD TV and flick through the massive selection of channels, or sign in to your Netflix account and carry on streaming what you’ve been watching back home.

Here for all guests

The rooftop bar is sure to attract you at some point, as the 360º views of Table Mountain and city are impressive.

When you can tear yourself away, you have a choice of 3 restaurants where you can eat and drink, or perhaps you prefer the option of room service.

On-site, guests can relax at the spa, enjoy a swim in the outdoor pools, or unwind with a drink at the rooftop bar while taking in panoramic views of Table Mountain and the city. The hotel's central location provides easy access to Cape Town's vibrant Kloof Street, known for its diverse selection of restaurants, cafes, and boutique shops. Additionally, popular attractions such as the V&A Waterfront, Camps Bay, Clifton Beaches, and the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway are within a short drive, offering opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, and outdoor adventures.
