Located at the very top of the wealthy Oranjezicht suburb, Camissa House offers sweeping views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill, and the city and harbour from almost every corner.

With only 8 rooms – each dedicated to an indigenous fynbos plant, and offering more of those incredible vistas – Camissa feels like a private residence rather than a hotel. The stylish interiors feature mid-century-inspired furniture – an open-plan kitchen sits next to the dining room/library, and guests are invited to help themselves to drinks from the bar in the lounge, take a refreshing dip in the pool, and enjoy yet more magnificent views from the rooftop deck and bar.

An expansive breakfast buffet and daily High Tea are available at the house, with a complimentary, on-demand shuttle to assist guests with restaurant transfers, and 24/7 butler service – with staff all too happy to bring a nightcap to your room on your return at night.

Camissa House’s excellent Table Mountain location means that you’ll find several walking trails on your doorstep, while an easy 5-minute drive takes you to the city centre – with the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, as well as the lively V&A Waterfront, only 10-15 minutes away. The concierge team can offer recommendations and make bookings at the city’s top restaurants – with a complimentary shuttle service getting there and back a breeze.
