About Us

Owner and director, Danie Steyn is a big name in the Namibian travel industry. In 1990, he left a senior management position at Budget Rent-a-Car to form Africa Adventure Safaris.

With his passion for the beauty and solitude of this vast region, Danie led his own safaris into the remote and undiscovered wilderness areas of Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. Combining adventurous camping expeditions with luxury lodges in his safaris, this pioneering approach soon became the de facto safari as demand for this fascinating country continued to grow.

In 2005, with his experience and knowledge from years of organising and leading private safaris, Danie took a step sideways to form Namibia Tours & Safaris - NTS for short. Now, in addition to running his own safaris for regular clients, we employ freelance guides, some of whom Danie introduced to the industry many years ago to lead our safaris into Africa.

And in 2007, a new dimension was added to NTS: with the addition of our amazing team of Travel Consultants, NTS became a fully fledged tour operator offering a complete booking service from arrival to departure.
