There's not much else out there. Just the campsite spread out around the Spitzkoppe Mountain and it's basic. So don’t expect the modern world, you won't find it here, but that's really where the charm lies. It's all about the bleak, stark, stunning nature you find all around you. Everywhere you look another perfect panoramic photo shot.
The sites are spread out so you probably wouldn't even know that you're not alone. Set up your chair and bathe in the bliss of feeling completely cut off from the world. This is true food for the soul.
The staff are passionate about their world here so you should get some excellent stories and advice.
Guided walks to the rock art sites. There are at least 37 of them, some 4000 years old.
Trekking on and around Spitzkoppe.
The mountain is a climbing destination - nicknamed the Matterhorn of Namibia, although that’s rather an exaggeration. Bring your own equipment.
Bouldering is good here too.
Bird watching and star gazing. If you get a clear night, you’ll be able to drink in the glory of the Milky Way. Constellation maps are often available at reception.
