Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

But this is no wooden bench with a peephole through a musty wall of reeds. Treetop Camp, for all its rustic proximity to nature, is a high-class luxury safari ensemble that delivers both an exceptional game-viewing safari and exclusive luxury accommodation with total seclusion with more than a hint of excitement.

The two tree nests and three tents, raised on stilts, are a few metres from a large waterhole in Onguma Private Reserve, which is on the edge of Etosha National Park. Connected by elevated walkways, the gnarled wooden construction, thatched roof and canvas sides are a quirky caricature of the Etosha wilderness.

Three large elevated suites (tree houses) with thatched roofs and tented sides; en suite bathrooms with open-air showers; private viewing deck overlooking the waterhole

Two tree nests; en suite bathrooms with indoor bath and separate shower; small lounge; large private viewing deck overlooking the waterhole

Main area consists of a lounge and dining area

Birding and game viewing at Onguma Treetop waterhole; guided game drives and nature walks in Onguma Private Reserve; private guided safari in Etosha National Park; massage treatments at Onguma Bush Camp or Onguma The Fort; visit the Onkolo Hide.

Onguma Private Game Reserve is 200 sq km of African plains. Bordering on Etosha National Park, Onguma opens up natural migration paths for many of the great plains species of southern Africa including lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra, impala and over 300 bird species. Treetop Camp also offers guided day trips into Etosha Park.
