Situated in close proximity to the dunes of Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon, Camping2Go’s Namib Desert lodge lets you enjoy the best of camping without bringing any equipment.

Built at the foot of fossilised dunes and housing four beds each, the eight permanent tents offer a hassle-free way of being immersed in nature, and have everything you need for a camping adventure – from ensuite bathrooms with showers to a fully kitted-out kitchen on the terrace that includes a fridge, stove, sink, and cooking utensils. Come evening, enjoy an outdoor braai and light the firepit in front of your tent or in the nearby riverbed, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

You’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, yet Namib Desert Lodge is a mere 700m away. As a camper, you can make the most of all lodge facilities, from a refreshing dip in one of the pools to dinner at the restaurant and guided lodge activities such as e-biking and dune drives.

Activities

You can book thrilling desert adventures directly through Namib Desert Lodge, such as a guided half-day excursion to the highest dunes on earth at Sossusvlei, complete with brunch and refreshments. You can also discover the natural wonders of the Namib Desert on a guided morning or sundowner drive, or set off on your own along the surrounding hiking trails. Once the sun has set, there’s also the option to go in search of nocturnal desert creatures on a post-dinner desert night walk.
