Lodge Damaraland

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Situated near the town of Khorixas, along the almost otherworldly Arid Eden Route – which stretches from Swakopmund in the south all the way to the Angolan border in the north – this contemporary lodge offers wide open spaces and a wonderful sense of freedom.

The 26 luxury rooms and 4 family rooms offer the utmost comfort for couples, single travellers, and families, with all conceivable mod-cons. Following a long drive or a day of excursions, you can cool off in the pool, and indulge in a soothing massage at the onsite spa. Follow this with sundowners in the lounge or on the patio, next to a roaring firepit, and a Namibian dinner at the restaurant. On a warm evening, enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace, surrounded by expansive views and a starry sky above.

The lodge serves as a gateway to captivating attractions, including the famous ancient rock paintings at Twyfelfontein, and the fascinating Petrified Forest – a national monument, this area of open veld features ancient petrified tree trunks up to 34m long and 6m in circumference, estimated to be around 260 million years old. About 50 individual trees are visible and can only be visited on a guided tour.
