Hlangana Lodge is a guest house with hotel proportions in Oudtshoorn - the Klein Karoo town that marks the end of Route 62 from Cape Town. Situated in a quiet street within walking distance of the town's centre, Hlangana is both comfortable and convenient.

A classic example of the Karoo farmhouse: tin roof, wrap-around verandah, wooden floors, floral patterns and rose-scented garden, Hlangana Lodge is a casual and charming guest house in the centre Oudtshoorn.

The 19 rooms, varying from standard through superior to the lavish honeymoon suite, are all spacious and decorated with Karoo charm. Each room has an en suite bathroom with your choice of bath or shower in the standard rooms and each opens directly onto the verandah lording it above the lush garden and large swimming pool.

Breakfasts are something of a self-styled legend at Hlangana and if you try everything on the sagging buffet table and hot station, you'll have eaten about a month's worth of supplies. Snacks and light meals can be made to order although the many restaurants and eateries in Oudtshoorn will beckon with their traditional Karoo cooking.
