Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

You’ll find Wilderness DumaTau in the Linyanti – a remote wetlands area within the mighty Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. Home to Africa’s highest density of elephants, DumaTau’s location between two busy elephant corridors, framed by a long stretch of river, results in exceptional encounters with huge herds of these gentle giants, who’re part of Africa’s last great mega-herd.

A stay in one of the 8 stilted tented suites, each designed in warm colours and with its own plunge pool, means to have a front-row seat to the aquatic action. Observe elephants playfully spraying each other with water while you take a dip, and spot resident buffalos on your way to the spa as you walk along the raised platforms that weave their way between the expansive living spaces and tented suites.

You can edge even closer on a boating safari along the Linyanti River, watching as herds of elephants and their young calves link up by their trunks and tails to safely wade through the water. DumaTau is also home to impressive lion prides, as well as packs of elusive African wild dogs who move through the wildlife corridors.

After game drives, cool off with swims in the 12-metre pool outside the Osprey Retreat, and enjoy healthy cuisine at the Osprey Lagoon Deli – dine al fresco on the barge, and savour your sundowner overlooking the Linyanti lagoon. Sundowners around the floating firepit with views of the lagoon offer a fitting end to the day’s adventures.
