You'll learn about farming. The kids will be in freedom heaven. Mackers is a few minutes drive from Hazyview - a small farming town knows for its banana, macadamia and coffee industries.
10 glamping tents. Two bedrooms with Queen sized beds, one with a bunk bed. Maximum of five people. They all face the river, are surrounded by grass and stare at the forest. Sigh. This is boutique camping. Proper furniture, decent bathroom, open plan lounge and private wooden deck. Very stylish. Uber stylish. Excellent kitchens, large showers.
This is a beautiful place with easy access to beautiful places. The Panorama route and Kruger National Park are only 35 minutes away. You can also visit the Seronera Crocodile Farm and the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre - the largest in South Africa.
If you want to stay put, do it. You’re right next to the Sabie River in the Mpumalanga bush. There are good hiking trails to both the waterfalls and wild rapids.
You can bird watch 250 species or go fishing.
Or just go hammocking. Should be an international sport.
