Light aircraft used for fly-in safaris have strict luggage limits due to weight and space constraints. In most cases, you’re limited to around 15–20 kg per person, including hand luggage, and bags must be soft-sided (no hard suitcases).
This usually sounds more restrictive than it feels. Safari lodges are casual, laundry is often available, and packing light actually makes travel easier. If you’re combining your safari with city stays or international flights, excess luggage can usually be stored securely.
