Just 8km from Etosha National Park and you couldn't be further from the rugged wilderness of one of Africa's greatest game reserves. Villa Mushara is the all exclusive addition to the lavish Mushara Lodge. Your personal paradise in the bush and a place where privacy, luxury and total relaxation are the paramount pursuits.
Comprising two secluded private villas tucked away from the main lodge, decked out in finest African chic, every detail has withstood scrutiny from designer Heidrun Diekmann and the result is flawless. Large verandahs have designer plunge pools, recliners and a thatched-roofed day bed from where you can watch the wildlife munch its way past.
Inside is 140 square metres of refined luxury. A large lounge with fireplace, library and music centre leads off to the en suite double bedroom with separate toilet and an outdoor shower. With private dining, personal rangers and butlers, comfort, luxury and graceful ease of living are taken care of. Just don't forget you are near Etosha.
The Mushara Collection now has a variety of safari lodge options in eastern Etosha, each offering a different level of luxury and price: Mushara Lodge is the original safari lodge; Villa Mushara is the ultra-luxurious and exclusive annex to the main lodge; Mushara Outpost offers sophisticated and affordable safari lodge accommodation and Mushara Bush Camp is a luxury family lodge.
Lazing on the day bed by the pool; guided game drives to Etosha
Daily guided safaris will provide a fascinating experience and insight into why Etosha is regarded as one of the best game viewing destinations in Africa: waterholes. Skirting an enormous salt pan the natural waterholes attract the park's hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles. All you have to do is pick a suitably picturesque spot, get comfortable and watch the spectacle unfold.
The Mushara Collection operates with a strong commitment to sustainability, conservation and social responsibility, prioritising the well-being of its staff and the environment. Initiatives are aimed at empowering employees through educational programs and fostering sustainable travel practices. At Villa Mushara, waste is meticulously managed: recycling bins are placed throughout the property, paper and plastic are incinerated and glass and metal are securely stored on-site. Mushara avoids sending waste to poorly managed landfills in nearby towns, instead implementing eco-friendly disposal methods. Water is conserved with a natural filtration process using French drains, allowing treated wastewater to safely re-enter the environment. The Mushara Collection also embraces solar energy to reduce its carbon footprint, powering up to 70% of its needs through solar grids and using energy-efficient lighting and timed water heaters. Sustainable sourcing is a priority, with vegetables and herbs either grown on-site or sourced locally along with fresh fruit juices, jams and other services. Conservation efforts extend across Mushara’s reserves with the goal of minimising environmental impact while maximising resource efficiency. Their kitchen waste is composted to enrich soil for the gardens, which supply much of the collection’s produce. Across all lodges, the Mushara Collection continuously strives to reduce its environmental footprint while enhancing its natural surroundings.
