Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel

Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Moorish in design, Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel offers you value for money in a great location. The hotel is close enough to the magnificent falls to give rooftop visitors a view of the rain forest and the spray from this awe-inspiring waterfall, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

With 88 afrocentric themed rooms  ranging from deluxe suites and family rooms, to double and twin options - all air-conditioned with en-suite bath and shower - your preferences and budget are well catered for. Each room has its own balcony so you can step outside and enjoy the hotel’s picturesque setting.

Unassuming and comfortable as it is, the Rainbow Hotel is not a luxury option. There are several luxury lodges and hotels in Vic Falls, like Stanley and Livingstone, Tongabezi Lodge and Sussi Lodge and Chuma Villa, if five-star is more your style; but if it's good value and a decent night's rest you want, the Rainbow Hotel is an excellent choice.

Dine in the a la carte Simujinga Restaurant with its choice of western and local dishes. Be entertained by the energetic Umbane We Zulu dancers, accompanied by their traditional music. Enjoy sunny days and romantic nights around the swimming pool complete with its own Swim n' Sip bar where waiters are always on hand with a refreshing cocktail. You don't even need to leave the water.

Activities

Just 2.5km from the Victoria Falls Rainforest, you're really well situated and super close to most attractions making it easy to get around and enjoy activities.

The activities at Victoria Falls, varied as they are, make this a destination in its own right. Adventurous types will find white water rafting on the Zambezi River below the falls an exhilarating and suitable terrifying experience. For those who prefer calmer pleasures, sunset cruises on the Zambezi above the falls with sightings of elephants and hippos are a must.

Take an early morning or evening game drive accompanied by a highly knowledgeable guide. Walk side by side with playful adolescent, unrestrained lion cubs of the Shearwater Pride, take a flight over Vic Falls for a unique view of the spectacular panorama. Don't forget though, that you have to take a walk through the rain forest to see the actual falls where the spray is so forceful you'll require an outsize umbrella.
