Stanley and Livingstone

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

The Stanley and Livingstone is a boutique luxury safari lodge on a private game reserve, 15 minutes' ride from Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side.

Leaving the tented world of Botswana and Zambia safaris behind, the Stanley and Livingstone is the answer to an overdose of rustic safari chic. Your suite is a brick-and-mortar palace with a high thatched roof, deep wall-to-wall carpeting, plush en suite bathroom with a free-standing slipper bath and a power shower, four-poster bed, air con, mini bar, home entertainment centre and a private verandah overlooking a lush sub-tropical garden and a busy waterhole.

The living area at The Stanley and Livingstone at Victoria Falls - to use its full name - features an elevated game viewing deck with a passing parade of elephant, buffalo, antelope and plains game. A plush bar, intimate dining room and an open terrace all look out over the waterhole. The mood throughout recreates Victorian elegance with polished hardwood finishes, leather-coated luxury, antique objets and historical artwork.

The Stanley and Livingstone has made its name for excellent service, fine dining and a secluded and tranquil location. The safari hotel is situated in the 6,000-acre Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve adjoining the Zambezi National Park.
