Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu sits within Botswana’s Northern Tuli Game Reserve, a dramatic 42,000-hectare landscape of rocky kopjes, baobab-dotted plains, and the Limpopo River basin. Known for its sweeping views and elephant trails – home to the ‘Giants of Mashatu’ – the four-star lodge is tucked away in lush gardens that blend seamlessly with the surrounding bush.

With just 8 luxury tented suites elevated on timber decks, Tuli offers an intimate and unhurried safari experience. The lodge combines contemporary touches with echoes of classic safari romance: canvas walls and roofs stretched over wooden frames, interiors that balance muted palettes with tactile textures, and decks that encourage outdoor living.

Guided by seasoned guides, set off on morning and afternoon game drives in search of large elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, as well as giraffes, zebras and some 350 bird species. Between drives, guests can retreat to the pool, and explore a private walking trail that loops past the camp’s watering hole and hide.

The lodge’s ‘moving tables’ concept means that no meal ever takes place in the same place – on a two-night stay, you might experience a bush brunch, High Tea overlooking the gardens and sandstone outcrops and candlelit dinners set up in surprise spots around the camp.

For a romantic experience away from the camp, Night under the Stars offers overnight glamping in specially designed tents set up in various locations.

Activities

Tuli offers a range of activities, including twice-daily game drives and optional after-dinner night drives and stargazing. The reserve is also a great spot for guided bush walks and mountain bike, horseback, and photo safaris, which make the most of the hidden away hides at the reserve’s watering holes. A community visit to the local village, Mothlabaneng, includes a tour of the school and the chance to see traditional basket-weaving, as well as community projects in action.
