Okapuka Safari Lodge

Okapuka Safari Lodge

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Situated 30km north of Windhoek en route to Etosha and the north, and Swakopmund and the west, the lodge provides comfortable accommodation, good food, and a healthy dose of Africa's wilderness and wildlife. Okapuka Safari Lodge (once known as Okapuka Ranch) is about half an hour from Windhoek and about an hour from the international airport, making it the ideal overnight at the start or end of your journey without staying in the capital itself.

Since being refurbed, this lodge oozes safari appeal and modern elegance. It's homely, warm and welcoming. A delight added to your itinerary offering you a chance to breathe and relax, which if you ask us, is a must at the beginning or end of any holiday.

The lodge has 21 spacious rooms of which 4 are standard doubles, 16 are twin rooms including two interleading rooms (with two rooms each, suitable for families) and one suite. All have en suite bathrooms, air-conditioning (or heating) and a private terrace.

Surrounded by 7,300 hectares of Namibian bush, you could see giraffe, ostriches and even white rhino. Antelopes and warthogs are often seen waltzing by your room but if they don't, the setting in itself is quite sublime. It's quiet and as mentioned above, you'd never say you were just outside of one of Namibia's busiest city centres.
